Love yoga? So do we. But like many people, perhaps you’re seeking a deeper, more transformative experience in your practice? One that will help you build a stronger foundation for yoga’s lifelong study, and in turn help you to discover your unique paths and gifts.
We understand. And often the next step is yoga teacher training.
Upcoming Yoga Teacher Training at Jen Murphy Fitness
Our next 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training will start the weekend of August 3, 2018 and meet one weekend monthly, until graduation weekend during April 2019. Our groups are small, allowing for individual attention and mentorship. Nancy Kearon and Eileen Rachelson, who possess combined decades of yoga teacher training will guide you.
What You Will Learn
Our studies will help you to enrich your personal practice and understanding of Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Yogic Philosophy. We will prepare you to teach, practicing safe and clear cueing, theming and sequencing, seeing and understanding the human body, safe manual adjusting and assisting. Our studies will clarify how yoga balances and improves clarity, energy and health. We will study Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga and Pre-natal yoga. Our readings will include The Yoga Sutras and sections of the Bhagavad Gita.
300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Starts in October
For graduates of 200 Hour YTT programs, in any style of yoga, we offer a 300 Hour program beginning October 19th 2018, meeting 12 weekends, with graduation during July 2019. Nancy Kearon, Maggie Lehrian, Teresa Novak and others, qualified at the 500 Hour Level, will teach principles and techniques that are more detailed and subtle. Readings will include the Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gita, Discovering Your Soul Signature, and Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change. Working in a supportive environment, we will fine-tune your teaching skills, learning how to develop and present classes and workshops. We will explore different styles of yoga including Aerial and Stand-Up-Paddleboard Yoga. We will develop our skills to become teachers of teachers.
Sharing the Gift of Yoga
Both programs include segments on The Business of Yoga. And our bond continues after the hours we spend together in deep study, as we support and advise our students while they move forward on their paths.
What we study will help you grow in your personal, interactive and life skills. We learn how to live our lives more fully, peacefully and share the gift of yoga as a lifestyle and community.
Both programs are based on Yoga Alliance standards and are approved to graduate students who are qualified to register with YA for the designations of RYT200 and RYT500.
