Little Yogi and Me Yoga offers the opportunity for parents and children, ages three to five, to experience an interactive yoga class together.
Enjoy asanas (postures), breath-work and an introduction to meditation before ending each class in final relaxation (savasana).
Yoga has many benefits for both adults and children. To name a few:
-Builds strength, flexibility and balance
-Improves mood and decreases anxiety
-Reduces stress and increases self-control
Come say good morning to the sun, fly like Superman, hop like a frog and more on our weekly yoga adventures.
Instructor: Trisha Kneeling
Since 2008, Little Yogi and Me instructor Trisha Kneeling has worked as a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. Specializing in pediatrics, she has worked with hundreds of children.
Introduced to yoga through a continuing education class, Trisha instantly gravitated to the 6,000 year old practice. At the same time, she realized that the children she worked with could also benefit from yoga postures and began integrating them into her treatment sessions.
As a registered yoga teacher, Trisha strives to offer the same life-enhancing experience to her students that she encountered the first time she stepped onto a mat. Her classes offer all participants the opportunity to practice without judgement. Yet at the same time, she has structured the sessions to help you reach your health, wellness, strength and spiritual goals.
At Little Yogi and Me, your mat will become a place to feel playful, focused, and balanced. It is Trisha’s hope that this time together will help you develop a deeper connection with yourself and your child.
